Diversity in School Librarianship Scholarship

The Tennessee Association for School Librarians (TASL) and the Tennessee Library Association (TLA) recognizes the need for school librarians who reflect the diversity of Tennessee's students, schools, and communities.  This scholarship is a joint effort between TASL, TLA, and Capstone as part of our ongoing work to increase diversity in school librarianship.

This scholarship provides financial support for students from historically underrepresented racial/ethnic groups pursuing a graduate degree in library/information science as they work towards becoming a school librarian. Applicants must be a Tennessee resident who is currently enrolled, or planning to enroll, in an ALA accredited master's of library/information science program, or a master's program with a specialty in school library media from a school accredited by CAEP, in the state of Tennessee.
